| MFTHBA Reg. # 05-84805 "Sam" is a 7 year old Sorrel MFT gelding in the year 2012 and is sired by WGC Patriot's Scud Buster with Outlaw's Patriot on the topside and Mack K's Shepherd on the bottom. In 2011 Sam received 90 days of "Sound Gaited" training from Julie Moore, using Natural Horsemanship and basic Dressage training techniques. Sam has excellent ground manners, has been schooled over countless trail obstacles and has had extensive training on trails. He has also been trail ridden by amateur riders. Sam's training has developed him into a sturdy, balanced and confident trail horse. He has wonderful smooth gaits; a bold ground covering flat foot walk, a smooth running walk or when asked for a little more, a smooth ground covering foxtrot. He also has a good lope and a slow, quiet trail walk and is very quiet and calm on the trails. He is extremely sure-footed and climbs like a mountain goat. He is always willing and never seems to get tired. He also loves to work cows and would make a great Versatility or Ranch Horse prospect. He will make an excellent partner for an intermediate amateur rider. |
